BENEFITS OF PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP
CRITERIA FOR PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP
Membership is available to people with an interest in the safety of hazardous equipment as defined in the Institute’s Constitution. The three main grades of personal membership are:
A category is also available for Members on their retirement and recommendations for Life Membership can be sent to the Secretariat.
Equipment Inspectors e.g. AICIP Senior In-Service Inspectors or Design Verifiers currently certificated at the senior level usually satisfy AIES criteria for Senior Member Grade S. Proof of qualifications, certifications and five (5) years suitable experience in inspection or design verification is required.
Applicants for Member Grade M must hold a suitable certificate of competency or equivalent e.g. AICIP In-Service Inspectors. At the time of application they must hold employment in this area and supply documentary evidence.
People who may be entering the industry or who do not possess all the above credentials but whohave some technical competence in the area of hazardous equipment are usually eligible for admission as Associate Member Grade B.

Current fees are available on this website and from the Secretary secretary@aies.org.au. GST is not applicable.
APPLICATIONS
All applications require nomination and seconding by financial AIES Personal Members. Application forms are to be submitted for committee approval by emailing the Secretary – secretary@aies.org.au. When the application is approved an invoice will be forwarded for payment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
AIES Personal Members are expected to act ethically and in accordance with the AIES Constitution. Any lists of members are confidential and must not be used for distributing unsolicited promotional material, nor may they be divulged to other parties. Membership of the Institute, if cited on any documents or advertising material must be in a format approved in writing by the Institute.
BENEFITS OF AFFILLIATE/CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
CRITERIA FOR AFFILIATE/CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
Grade C Affiliate/Corporate membership is available to organisations with an interest in the safety of hazardous equipment as defined in the Institute’s Constitution. This includes boilers and pressure vessels and other pressure equipment.

Current fees are available on this website and from the Secretary secretary@aies.org.au. GST is not applicable.
APPLICATIONS
Should require nomination and seconding by financial AIES Personal Members. A representative of the organisation should be nominated to receive correspondence. Application forms are to be submitted for committee approval by emailing the Secretary – secretary@aies.org.au. When the application is approved an invoice will be forwarded for payment.

AIES Membership Fees
Annual AIES Membership Fees as at 1 January 2018
Renewal of membership is due on 1 July each year and members will be invoiced according to their membership category.
Fees for new member applications will be calculated pro rata from this date.
All amounts in Australian Dollars. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is not applicable.
